Houseparents

Executive Director

Missy Schoning is our Executive Director. She has been with the ministry for over twelve years, serving as Assistant Director and Counselor. She has been working with youths and group homes for over eighteen years. She provides overall direction to the ministry by keeping the vision focused, engendering core values, and ensuring that the activities of the ministry are in accord with the mission of the Christian Life Home. She oversees compliance with policies established by the governing Board and licensing standards.

 
 
Primary Houseparents

Paul and Meredith Steurnagel have served in various church youth ministry positions since 1996. They have a four year old daughter who is very sweet and loves animals, especially cats. Their passion for Christ, their integrity, and passion for this ministry goes a long way as they serve young ladies facing unplanned pregnancies.

 
Houseparents

Jonathan and Katie LeMaire have served in various youth ministry positions for 6 years. Their passion in life is to ‘Make Jesus Famous’ with today’s youth. Their role is to serve as both House Parents and at the Hospitality House for those in ministry looking for rest and relaxation.

 
Missy
Counselor

Missy Garriss is the counselor for residents of Christian Life Home. She is a licensed counselor with training in grief and trauma counseling. She works with each resident to develop a parenting or adoption plan through weekly counseling sessions. She has extensive experience working with teens and started with Christian Life Home in 2008.

 
Program Director

Michael Garner started at the Christian Life Home in 2005 as a primary houseparent with his wife Sarah. He moved into the Program Director role in 2008 to advise the current houseparents and ensure our program is running correctly and effectively.  He also helps Amy with national training for housing ministries.

 
Director of Leadership Development

Amy Jones has been with Christian Life Home since 1989. During her time at the CLH, Amy has filled the roles of counselor, relief houseparent and Executive Director. She currently travels both nationally and internationally providing training and consultation for other housing ministries. Amy serves on the Board of Directors for her State coalition, Carolina Pregnancy Care Fellowship. She also serves as a consultant with Heartbeat International and as a trainer with LifeSteward.

 
 
Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant

Sherry McIntyre has been involved with Christian Life Home for 10 years. She first blessed the ministry as a volunteer. She now works out of the office taking care of the bookkeeping and administrative items.

 

CLH Board of Directors

Chris McIntyre, President

Chris has been involved in Christian Life Home since 1999. He and his wife, Sherry, and their daughter live in Raleigh. He is a contractor who remodels and refurbishes homes with his company, CSK Improvements. He and his family attend Fuquay-Varina Baptist Church, and he enjoys fishing, backpacking and camping.

Marsha Daniel, Secretary

Marsha Daniel joined the board of the Christian Life Home in 2007.   Marsha and her husband Gary live in Apex and they have 3 children and 1 grandchild.  She has been an ultrasound technologist since 1985.  In addition to providing ultrasound services for 2 area OB practices, she works with Focus on the Family Option Ultrasound Ministry and teaches obstetric ultrasound classes for the National Institute of Family & Life Advocates (NIFLA).

Scott Rabon, Treasurer

Scott joined the board of Christian Life Home in 2007. Scott and his wife, Debbie, and their two children have lived in Cary since 1990, and he has been a family practice physician with SAS Institute for the past five years. In 1990, Scott did mission work with World Medical Mission in Africa for a year and a half. The Rabons attend Colonial Baptist Church in Cary, and in his free time, Scott enjoys spending time with his kids, fishing and working in his yard.

Bill Etheridge

Bill joined the board of Christian Life Home in 2006.  He was one of the CLH founders in 1988 and shares a deep passion for the ministry.  He is a real estate appraiser and the father of six children, three of whom are grown.

Leslie Smith

Leslie joined the board of Christian Life Home in March of 2009. She lives in Apex with her husband, Marty and their twin daughters. Leslie is a homemaker and is heavily involved with volunteer work within the community. She and her family attend Colonial Baptist Church in Cary.
